From its inception 14 years ago, A Child's Smile has approached gift-giving for children in need a little differently than other organizations. Working hand-in-hand with local schools, the nonprofit is uniquely able to find families who will benefit the most from their program. All donations received by A Child's Smile are converted to gift cards, which are, in turn, provided to parents or caregivers so that they can afford to buy Christmas gifts for their children. It's a heartening gift for the parents and guardians, too!
In 2024, with the help of teachers and counselors from local schools, A Child's Smile helped create a more joyful Christmas for 1,331 children from 660 local families facing difficult times.
