OPPORTUNITIES TO HELP

“WALK FOR THOUGHT” a walk at the Zoo to raise awareness of traumatic brain injuries is on Sat. Oct. 3rd at 9:00 a.m.    Any youth, parents and adults that would like to spend a nice day at the zoo, are encouraged to participate.   Noelle Kraemer and her family will be walking too.  It’s $25.00 for registration and children 12 & under are $10.00.  You get a T-shirt and admission and parking is FREE if you are registered for the walk.   Registrations need to be in by Sept. 13th, Rally Day.   Pick up a registration form on the Youthboard in the hallway, fill it out, collect donations, and return to Justine or put it in the envelope attached to the board.  We will meet here at 8:00 a.m. that morning and ride together.   See Justine for details.    Please continue to hold Noelle and all brain injury patients in prayer for healing.

INDIAN SUMMER EVENT  October 2-4 10:00 am to 8:00 p.m. at Ashippun Town Hall, corner of Hwy O & P.  Dirty Kettle (the guy with the teepees) is looking for youth to help out at the event on Sat. for a few hours.  There is also a very interesting Drum Circle at 6:00 p.m. on Sat. evening that you may want to participate in.  Please let Justine know if you can help during the day for a few hours.  This can count toward your service hours.

On Sunday, Oct. 4th our Confirmation Class and High School Youth  will be attending their Outdoor Worship Service at 10:15 a.m. and following we will be given a lesson on how the Indian Culture connects with God and nature and how our Christian beliefs are much the same.   We would like to have all Confirmation Class youth & High School youth attend.  We will share lunch and help out at the event as we are needed.  This will be our Confirmation Class for that day.  There will be no class at 6:00 that evening.    Make sure you mark your calendars.

BOX CITY is returning with some added surprises on Sat. Oct. 10th.      Watch for more details on the youth board and in next months’ caller.

Bring items for the food pantries and place in the barrel between the entry doors.   See the list of items needed on the barrel.  When you are hungry, think of those who have no food.
