                                                            UPCOMING  Youth  OPPORTUNITIES

For those in Confirmation Class and High School

SHANTY TOWN – This is very similar to our annual Box City event and so instead of having our Box City here at St. Olaf with only our group of youth, we will join others from the community and take part in “Shanty Town” on Friday, Sept. 17th.  Everyone will be responsible to get their own box for the event and collect donations from sponsors.  We will meet at St. Olaf at 5:00 p.m. that day and go together as a group to Slinger.  See the youth board for information from Habit for Humanity which includes the Agreement, Waiver & Overview, Pledge Sheets, Awards and Schedule.   Remember to sign up on the youth board and we will need adult parent chaperones for this event.

INDIAN SUMMER EVENT  October 1-3 10:00 am to 8:00 p.m. at Ashippun Town Hall, corner of Hwy O & P.  Dirty Kettle (the guy with the teepees) is looking for youth to help out at the event on Sat. & Sun. for a few hours.

Please see the sign up sheets and sign up to help at a time that is convenient for you.  Bring a friend or two to join you.

This year, we will have an overnight campout opportunity and pitch tents and stay on the grounds at the Indian Summer Event and participate in the other activities that will be going on there.  We will pitch tents Sat. evening at about 7:00 p.m.   Watch for details on the Youth Board and sign up there.

Then on Sunday, Oct. 3rd our Confirmation Class and High School Youth will be able to attend their Outdoor Worship Service at 10:15 a.m.  We would like to have all Confirmation Class youth & High School youth attend.  We will share lunch and help out at the event as we are needed.  This will be our Confirmation Class for that day.  There will be no class at 6:00 that evening.    Make sure you mark your calendars.

TITHING – Please read the article on Tithing elsewhere in the caller regarding the Youth tithing.

Any questions on any of the above, see Justine, send her an e-mail, or call her on her cell.  She is available 24/7.

Do I Have Your Email Address??
Hey, I like to get e-mail here at Church  youth@st-olaf.org and if you’d like to know what’s going on here at church and would like to get an e-mail message about it, send me your e-mail so I can send you an e-mail.  I already have some of them, so if I do, just send me a message anyway.  And check your mailbox downstairs as you enter the Youth Center .

Thinking of you, Justine
