Upcoming  Youth Events/Opportunities for 2009

Parents should discuss with their son or daughter & contact Justine with questions  (262)224-5048  then PLEASE SIGN UP on Youth Board in Hallway where appropriate

Ongoing      Bring canned or boxed food and paper products for those in need and put in barrel
                                    Support of Tamirat from Ethiopia – bring donations for monthly support payment

March         Interview a person from the Congregation and write a summary of what you learned about that person; We will have a special Dinner on April 19 for all those involved.  Sr. High youth and Confirmation youth to participate.  See the list on the Youthboard or call Justine for a name if you don’t already have one picked; 

Wednesdays in Lent    Go to other churches for services-   Meet here at 6:30 to carpool.  All ages invited to go.

 Mar 1                       Contemporary Worship Music Group practice will be on March 1 and March 15 for all

Mar 15 at 10:15 am          ages, including Confirmation Youth and High School Youth, following worship service

March 7-8                    LOCK-IN Youth event   (Alaria and Kelly in charge of planning) for all High School Youth
                                     Activities, movies, food, worship, discussions, games, etc.  7:00 p.m. Sat till 10:30 am Sunday

March 13                     Church night with the Milwaukee Bucks  $15 for a $37 ticket, plus slice of pizza and soda
                                       Bucks vs. New Orleans at 7:30 p.m.     Anyone interested in tickets? 

March 14 for adults    “Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage” Dinner & video      Some youth to babysit????

March 21                      TEC reunion at Immanuel in Watertown   9:30 – 3:00   for all those who ever attended a TEC  weekend or worked on team in the past;                                       Meet at church at 8:45 a.m. to carpool

March 29, 2009           Our annual PIE AUCTION and Spaghetti Lunch  Sr. High invited to come bid on pies;                                                                  
                                        Confirmation class helps to serve; Anyone have a talent to share for the entertainment ?

April 4                          Youth event  (Hannah & Morgan in charge of planning)

April 5                          Hand out order sheets for Hanging Basket fundraiser ($ from the baskets you sell goes to your youth acct. for the mission trip or retreat or other youth events)

April 19                        Special Dinner for those interviewed    4:00 p.m.   (Pietila’s &  Smeatons to help out)

April 26                        Shorehaven- sign up on youthboard to go    Meet at church at 9:00 a.m. return 12:15

April ?                         Flamingo Flocking begins (fundraiser for mission trip or other youth events)

May 2  8-10 am            Hanging Baskets delivered      Need helpers to sort basket orders  

May 9                          HUHS  Junior Prom  

May 16  Sat.                Confirmation Class Banquet  at 6:00 p.m.    (8^th graders help)  (watch for details forthcoming)

May 17  Sun.               Confirmation Service for 9^th graders  (4 boys this year)
