Ice Cream Social
Our big fundraiser for the year is fast approaching.  We’ll be celebrating St. Olaf Church’s Birthday of 165 years. Please mark the date of July 26^th 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. on your calendar to volunteer to be a part of this exciting day.  Parents and youth are needed.  Visit the sign up posters in the Gathering area.  Help is needed before the event and after the event also.   Invite everyone you know to come, the food and ice cream are good and the conversations and fun are even better.  What is your favorite???

Volleyball/Basketball
Who likes to play volleyball?  Who knows all the rules to volleyball?  Board, have nothing going on?  Get some friends together and come to church to play volleyball or make some baskets in our new basketball hoop.  A wonderful person has donated some money so we can get some sports equipment to use here at church.  We are working on the plans to set up the volleyball posts and net, basketball hoop, and other fun stuff in the near future.  Have any suggestions?  Let Justine know and look for upcoming details on summer volleyball/game times. 

Lifest                                
If anyone would like to attend on Sunday morning only on July 12^th just to see what it’s like, we will take you there.  It’s free for Sunday morning.  We’ll meet here at 8:00 a.m.   A great band and speaker, the author of the book, The Shack, will be there.  This great Christian Music and Arts Festival in Oshkosh July 8-12 features many Christian bands, camping, activities for all ages, workshops, worship, food, marketplace, contests, games, comedy, Kidzone, inflatables and best of all, worship under the stars at night and under the morning sky on Sunday.  Sign up on the youth board if you’d like to go on Sunday morning to check it out. 

Movie night at St. Olaf for all youth, Confirmation age and up.  Bring your friends and an item for the food pantry. We’ll gather on Saturday, July 18^th at 8:00 p.m. and start the movie at 8:30 .  Snacks and drink will be provided. 

TEC (Teens Encounter Christ) Weekend
August 7-9 at Norway Luther Church in Wind Lake  
Just a reminder to mark your calendars that for TEC the team training for leaders and new team members is Sat. July 18^th 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 Noon .  Team training for everyone on team is Sat. July 25^th 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.   Applications for those wanting to attend the weekend are due July 15, 2009.  Go to www.badgertec.org to print an application or pick one up from the envelope on the youth board.  You can mail your application in or give it to Justine to send in.  Please let Justine know if you mail it in on your own.  Talk to other youth here at St. Olaf or your friends and invite them attend a weekend if they haven’t.  Any questions, call Justine.
