“SOUPER BOWL OF CARING” Sunday, February 6th
Celebration Worship at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m.
“SOUPER BOWL OF CARING” Celebration Worship will be the same day as the Super Bowl, February 6th at the 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. services. We not only celebrate the football game but we celebrate that we can be servants of Christ and reach out to those in need by doing the smallest things. Confirmation Class & High School Youth will be responsible for the special “Soup Pot” collection for the needy at the end of each worship service and offer a serving of rice for our Coffee Hour following the worship services. Our offering this year will be divided between Simple Hope and the Hartford Food Pantry. Everyone is asked to please be a part of this nationwide youth effort to combat hunger by bringing a monetary donation and items for the Food Pantry.
NO CONFIRMATION CLASS OR YOUTH GROUP ON SUPER BOWL SUNDAY, FEB. 6TH. Enjoy the game and time with family & friends. Those youth that want service hours can participate in the Souper Bowl of Caring as noted above.
VALENTINE’S DAY DANCE PARTY
We are invited to Holy Cross Church in Menomonee Falls to a youth game night and dance party on Sunday, February 13th from 6-8:00 p.m. Cost is only $2.00 at the door (which goes to their Food Pantry) and it’s a good way to meet other Christian youth from another church and have some fun. Invite your friends to join us. We will meet here at 5:15 p.m. that day and carpool to Holy Cross. Sign up on the Youth Board or in class.
“TO SAVE A LIFE” MOVIE
The movie “To Save a Life” is going to be shown at the Harford Theatre February 18 through 20 and the cost is only $2.00. If you take a friend, the friend gets in free. So that’s only $1.00 each to get in. What a deal! Some of you have seen it at our lock-in and/or at our retreat last March or even rented it from RED BOX. It’s a good movie for parents to see also so you can talk about the contents with your teen. We could go as a group so sign up on the board if you’d like to go as a group on Sat. or Sunday.
TEC (Teens Encounter Christ) TRAINING DAY
Training day is Sat. Feb. 19th 9:30 -3:00 for those youth that attended a TEC weekend and want to be on team for the March 4-6 weekend. We will meet here at 8:30 a.m. and drive to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Watertown for the training, the same church where the weekend will be held.
CAMP SUNDAY February 20th 9:00 a.m. service
Summer camp can be an unforgettable, very meaningful life experience for many. Since it’s already time to start making plans for summer camp, representatives from Lutherdale Bible Camp will join us for worship that morning and give us all the information we need for camp for all ages including camp for families. There will be information available and a time for questions and signing up in the Gathering area following our worship service. You can even talk to the kids from St. Olaf who went to camp and loved it. Early bird discounts will be offered as well as support from St. Olaf to “help send a kid to camp”. Let Justine know if you are interested in attending camp or have any questions.

Mark your calendars for our annual Pie Social/Auction – planned for Sunday, March 20th, at 10:15 a.m. after Worship Service. Reserve the date on your calendar. Any youth or adults that would like to take part in the talent portion of the entertainment for the auction should let Justine know. Proceeds help support the mission trip, summer camp, & other youth events.
