Helping out at our annual LUTEFISK  DINNER

Confirmation Class and High School Youth are once again needed to help out at our annual Lutefisk Dinner on

Sat. Dec. 3rd between 11:00 and 5:00 p.m.  Join the festive atmosphere while helping out where needed.  Please wear black or dark pants & white or light colored top, no jeans please.  Remember to sign up on the Lutefisk Dinner sign-up poster for a shift of 11-2 or 2-5 in the Gathering area.    

GATHERING TIME FOR HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH & PARENTS

We will meet together on Sunday, Dec. 4^th at 11:30 a.m. following the Praise Service which is at 10:30 a.m.  Join in the Praise Service, have lunch together, and make some plans. Hope to see you all there.

“CITIZENS WITH THE SAINTS” TOUR

Friday, Dec.9^th at 7 p.m. at Ascension Church in Waukesha.  All those going to the Nat’l Youth Gathering in New Orleans are encouraged to go to meet other youth going to the Gathering.  All other youth are invited also.  $5.00 to get in with a donation for the Hungry.  See the flyer & sign up on the Youthboard.  We’ll meet here at 6:15 p.m.

CHRISTMAS PROGRAM

Our annual Christmas Program is Sunday, December 11^th at 3:00 p.m. (arrive by 2:15 p.m.) Thanks to the youth (preschool through high school) and adults that volunteered to celebrate the real “Reason for the Season” with this annual tradition.  High School youth not in the Program are asked to come & help with the little ones, be greeters, or help with the food and fellowship that will follow the Program.  Let Justine know if you are able to help. Practice is Sunday Dec. 4^th 10:15-Noon and Sat. Dec 10^th 9-11:00 a.m. for dress rehearsal.

TEC (TEENS  ENCOUNTER  CHRIST)

Sr. High Youth in grades 10 & up are invited to attend a Teens Encounter Christ weekend retreat, Feb 3-5, 2012 at Immanuel Lutheran in Watertown.  Cost is $45.00 which includes a T-shirt, & all your food & activities.

You would need to miss school on Friday, Feb 3rd since it begins at 9:00 a.m. on Friday and would return on Sunday, Feb 5th about 5:00 p.m.  Ask Cody, Hannah Scheife, Kayla, or Bella about it.  Check out the brochure on the Youth News Board in the hallway and sign up if you are interested by Dec.11^th.

Those of you that have attended a weekend and would like to serve on team, the training dates are:

Fri. Jan 20th 6:00-9:00 p.m. for those asked to be a student leader; & Sat. Jan 21 9:30-3:00 p.m.for everyone on team. Team leaves for the weekend on Thurs. Feb 2nd at 5:15 p.m. Your applications need to be sent in ASAP to assure you a spot. Cost is $50.00 ($60.00 after Dec.1)which includes your T-shirt & food.  Let Justine know if you are planning on being on team ASAP. Also, if you are planning on inviting someone to attend the weekend for the first time, we need to get their application filled out & returned  to me to send it in by Dec. 12^th.   Applications are in the envelope attached to the Youth Board.

STOCKING THE SHELVES AT THE FOOD PANTRY

Students are needed to take the Thanksgiving Offering items to the Local food pantry and help stock the shelves on Wed.
